Rembrandt by Francesco Novelli 1792

Etching by Francesco Novelli of Rembrandt's "Lieven Willemsz van Coppenol with his Grandson" dated 1792, probably a later edition. Plate mark all around, corners of reverse have tape from previous mounting. A fine interpretation of Rembrandt's print. Francesco Novelli Venice 1767-1836 was an outstanding engraver and acquired a reputation as a copyist of Rembrandt etchings.
